The Baseline Configuration (BC) team is pleased to inform you that the advanced text editor vim will be added to the common set of editors emacs, pico and vi listed in BC policy "Baseline Editors and Scripting Tools (FY06-04)." An updated version of policy FY06-04 will appear on the BC Web site soon.

As for zsh, the BC team has decided not to support this interactive-mode shell within the BC initiative. If interactive computing does become a viable method of computing on HPCMP resources, the BC team will definitely reconsider zsh within the BC initiative.
