Common Set of Open Source Compilers
BC Project: FY07-03
Date of Policy: 23 Oct 2008
Last Updated: 06 Feb 2023 (see Revision Log)
This policy requires a "common" version of GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) be available
to users on all HPCMP allocated HPC systems. Periodically, the BC Team will review the
GCC and will designate a newer version to be the common version. This version will be
made available by executing module load gcc/<version>
where <version>
was 10.2.0 prior to this update. The common version will normally be much more recent
than the "system" version (typically /usr/bin/gcc).
As of February 6, 2023, the BC common version is 11.2.0.
